Ok, not gonna lie, but Ive tried out 3 other massagers (1 of them the shiatsu lumbar messager from Brookstone for [$]),which worked okay but i needed the rolling mechanism and for just the extra $90 I figured it was worth it! THIS one -finally- is the one which clicked the most for my body and needs. Those others I returned due to poor design (Homedics brand)- not bad quality or price just the design of the message heads- while Brookstones massagers are VERY well designed and provide a very strong, comfortable, deep massage. Some older people may have issues w. the intensity but I need it to be this strong to be fulfilled. I noticed some said it doesnt reach the neck or upper back? Well, its very simple- simply slide your body down "a bit" - no more- so the rollers can move up higher into the pressure points around your neck and upper shoulder area. I did just that and it worked AMAZING! No extra effort or anything tedious involved. Anyways, so far this item is a keeper. My biggest concern is it breaking 'cause its such a seriously mechanical item (moves up and down etc.. in order to work), but for just $14 I got the extra 1 year protection- so hopefully if I make it past 2 years, thats a good indicator the item is long lasting and legit.

I love this product very much. I brought one many years ago just to try it out. It works very well.It reduces the stress and relax my tide mussel after work. One year later, I brought another one for my parent. Recently, I buy one for my husband's grandmother as a mother's day gift. I also buy one for my friend as a birthday gift. This product is very good. I've been using it for 5 years without any problems.I definity will recommend to all of my friends.

I put this on my couch and use it when I play video games. It keeps me loose and my focus on point. Before I had this my back and neck would tighten up and I would have to stop playing, but now....GAME ON! I've also used it laying on the floor I'm 200Lbs and it works great!

I love body to practice body building, but it has its own consecuences (your muscles end up in soooo much pain), and I can't afford a 1hour massage every week, even a 1hr massage is not enought for me, I need a massage, now and then... so last year I ask this massage chair as a present, and it has been one of the best things ever, it detangles my back muscles, in such a good way, I just feel renewed, now I'm planning on buying the calf massager to top it of.. just BUY IT!!

if you like deep tissue this will soon be your best friend! u can focus on upper or lower if you choose or go for the gold with the full selection and get your whole back. either way you cant go wrong! the only way this would be a bad product is if you dnt prefer deep tissue. id much rather pay [$] for a massage whenever i want at home or the office rather than 80 for an hr at a spa. cant go wrong

I tried this out in the Seattle Brookstone store when I was visiting from Canada. I didn't buy it right away because I wanted to do some comparison shopping. I needed a deep massager because I suffer from an old whiplash injury. I am a massage therapist that needs my own daily personal relief from work related repetitive strain.
I tried a lot of massage cushions and the massage was never deep enough. So, I bought this online. This one is perfect for me!!
I don't know how well built it is and they don't sell the extended warranty outside of the USA, so I will see how long it lasts.
Doesn't sit well on all chairs, and I have to find one that works as well as the chair it was on in the store. But I knew that might happen before I purchased it....

I've only had this for a week but I am seeing immediate benefits. I sit on a chair for 10 hours a day and have lower back pain and a tense upper back. I bought this at a brookstone store because I had to try it before buying and after spending 10 minutes on it, I decided to buy it. This product has been one of my best office purchases ever. I use it every hour to massage the muscles next to my spine and it works great. I can't comment on durability, but I bought the extended 2 year warranty so I'm sure i'll get my money's worth. I had bought a smaller unit from Brookstone that was only for the lower back, but gave it to a friend. This is much better.
