I love these things! I have a pair in my running shoes, and have worn them both while traveling (imagine not having to untie and retie at airport security!) and while running. I have a fairly narrow foot and they keep my feet perfectly snug in my kicks. My husband has a much wider foot and he has also been able to wear them completetly comfortably. The material is perfectly stretchy to accomodate any foot size. I even gave a pair to my friend with a four year-old, and he now has them in his shoes...no more tying your children's shoes every ten minutes! And they are fun with all the different color combos! I got two "bonus" Hickies in my pack in a different color. Not sure if this is standard in all packs, but it was an unexpected treat.

I bought these laces for my son who has fine motor issues and can not tie his shoes. He was very excited about how they look, and so was I. I DID try to stretch these for about an hour - they barely budged. They were still way way too tight. My son has a wide, adult size ten foot with a high instep, so I am thinking a larger size might be better for folks with wide/adult-sized feet. I am sure we would rate five stars if that was the case. I would recommend to a friend with smaller, narrower feet.

I bought these for travel. I use them in my tennis shoes so I can quickly slip then on and off for security and during long flights. I recently used them on a 14 hour flight to china. When your feet swell these still fit, plus it makes it easy to put your shoes on and off for trips to the rest room. My only draw back is that I've snapped a few of them. They give you plenty. Really enough for 2 pairs of shoes so it really isn't a big deal when they snap. I just pack a few extras to swap them out. They will make your shoes a little loser than regular laces so I certainly wouldn't run a marathon in them, but for day to day running errands or travelers these are great. I plan on buying another set when I pass through Chicago on my way back from China next week.

My teenaged son broke his arm two days before we left for a 3 week vacation. The broken arm made it impossible for him to tie his sneakers, so going through airport security was no fun. But I saw these Hickies in a Brookstone store at the airport. Aha! The perfect solution! We bought them and replaced the laces in my son's shoes. They were great - made him more independent during our vacation. His arm is healed now, but he still uses the Hickies. They have lasted over 4 months of daily use. A few have broken, so I'm going to buy more to replace the broken ones. They are a real asset for anyone with limited mobility - and they are nice looking, too.

These shoelaces are easy to use, once you lace up a few laces. The best part is once you lace them up on your shoe, you never have to tie your shoes again, and your shoes are now slip-on! However, you need to lace your shoes with HICKIES before you put them on, or else you will have a hard time lacing the laces closer to the top of your foot. Also, they come in so many different color options, that is almost impossible to not find an option that matches your shoes. I ended up getting the Rainbow ones because it is the only option that has multiple colors. These laces are great for any kind of sneaker, but in my opinion, they look very unprofessional on dress shoes, unless if you go with the all black, all white, or black/white combinations. Also, these laces are not for people with wide feet. My feet are fairly wide, and these laces make it a little difficult to put my foot in. If you have very wide feet, then sadly these laces are not for you.
