My husband has seasonal affective disorder and I gave this to him for Christmas. He can't stop raving about it!!!! It has immediately made a difference for him! It certainly helps with my seasonal depression . I have quit taking anti-depression drugs, and instead rely on this substite for sunshine . I recommend it for seasonal depression, caused in the dark days of winter.I sit in front of it every morning, having my breakfast and newspaper.

I put this lamp next to my computer and turn it on when I am working. There are two settings -- hi and low -- I typically use the lower setting. The light is very bright and clean and, well, happy. This is exactly what I wanted -- a low profile, but powerful light to brighten up the dark winter months. I struggle with the lack of sun during the winter and this light is definitely cheering me up. The only concern I have is about replacing the lightbulb whenever it runs out (not a standard bulb).
