The only reason I didn't return this product is because I bought it for a really good deal and felt it was worth what I paid, and not what they normally ask. The box clearly said it requires no filters and that was the number one reason I wanted it, I was tired of replacing filters and it seemed like this UV sanitizing thing would solve that forever, but I was wrong. It comes with "mineral absorbtion pads" and they need regular replacement. To me, a mineral absorbtion pad is a type of filter, and therefore it requires filters.
Anyway, the screen is remarkably bright and will light up the whole room, but I solved that by pointing the unit towards the wall so it's not a huge issue. I also suspect the humidity sensor is rather innacurate scientifically speaking, but otherwise it works. Overall, this thing is better than the bottom-line models I've had before, but I wouldn't buy it again.

After many humidifiers that all together cost the same as what this cost I finally took the plunge and bought this one. I love that I can tell the actual humidity in the room and increase based on that. I will say that if you have a water softener it is more difficult to clean because the filter doesn't work well with it. Also if you have a open room like we do it doesn't quite reach the humidity level I would like to reach. With that said I'm fine because the room we use it in will be closed off. Well worth the price!!!

Bought it last year and forgot how good it was. I looked for the filter etc and then realized I got tired of those brands and bought this one and smiled. I wiped it down, put water in it and turned it on. Its not hard to fill, its just heavy. If you cant carry it from the sink back to the base just use less water and fill it more often. Its not a flaw, water is heavy folks. It doesn't leak or drip.
I am so glad for the germ free, no added chemicals design that I cant think of a better unit.

Use it in our bedroom. Like that it has no filters that get orange and yucky looking. Seems to humidify well but not sure how adjustments work- haven't taken alot of time to read directions but never seems to reach the humidity level set on screen- but feels fine. Also, lots of white calcification build up on one area after just couple weeks use- not sure how to clean that- have to read directions.
