I use this mobile tester daily while at work with both an iPad as well as iPhone. The mobile version is very easy to use, can be calibrated with any karat of gold, and is extremely accurate. The device will quickly detect gold filled or plated jewelry after a gentle filing of the piece. A thick rhodium plating on white gold jewelry will often cause the piece to test high though after filing the piece it will certainly test accurately.

I thought the desktop version of the Auracle was the best thing since sliced bread UNTIL I got a mobile tester. It's amazing. We now have three of them in operation at my store and I absolutely love them. They have a new calibration system where you can use whatever karat you have available, and that makes it super easy. Great product.
