This is the best and most professional sweater shaver that I've ever purchased!!! Never going back to the cheap ones! I use it on all sorts of clothing, furniture and fabric. In fact, once I start using it, I can't put it down until I wear the battery out. I end up going through the house looking for everything that I've been needing to use it on. I've turned sweaters that I would have donated, into sweaters that look brand-new and get compliments on. You do need to be careful to lay the fabric on a flat surface and watch rounded corners, because I have put holes in a few of my sweaters. It is very sharp, but that goes with the durability. I would buy one or every friend and relative, if I could afford it!!! My favorite gadget ever!!!!!!!!

This was a replacement for our previous shaver, about a quarter the size of this one. It's too large to use on shirt collars and plackets.
Strange and inconvenient design. It is very difficult to set the height guide, and even harder to get the foil screen off to clean the blades. The instructions make no mention of the little deadman switch--if the screen's not replaced exactly correctly, you can reassemble the machine & it won't run. The lint cup must be removed to access the batteries. And with a unit this big, why is there no on-board storage for the lint brush?

I bought this fabric shaver about 3 months ago. It works as well today as the day I received it. I did a lot of research before choosing which fabric shaver to buy. This one looked like it was sturdy/made well and had wonderful reviews. I have used it on baby clothes, fleece baby blankets, sweat pants/shirts, sweaters, anything that gets pills. . . . I love it!

I love the fabric shaver. It works great, and shaves sweaters quickly.
I was disappointed with Brookstone's customer service. I ordered the fabric shaver and the C Batteries to go with it. When I received the fabric shaver the batteries were missing. I contacted customer service and 6 days later they responded. The day before they responded I purchased the batteries from a different store since I had not heard anything. I immediately informed them I had already purchased the batteries elsewhere and asked for a refund. 4 Days they responded back that they were unable to refund me the money because they had shipped the batteries the day before.
I will not be shopping at Brookstone.com in the future, because of the inconvenience it caused. I purchased the batteries with the fabric shaver because it was the most convenient option, however it turned out to be anything but convenient.

Powerful, does the job without jamming the blades. I have used other battery operated defuzzers and they would always stop running very quickly because the fuzz collected around the blades. So far this one hasn't done that. The collection box is easy to clean. I have left it on the lowest setting without any damaged garmets. I love this one its a keeper.

If you wear lululemon yoga pants like I do, you know how annoying the little white pills that form on the seat of the pants are. This product literally ERASES the pills & makes my pants look brand new. I LOVE this product, and I'm telling everyone I know to get one!
