I got the sales lady to measure the width of this pad since the specs weren't provided online or on the box. It measured 19" wide, which was perfect for my 17" laptop. The padding is very comfy, although this can be heavy if you have a heavy laptop as well, as I do. But overall I'm very pleased with it and happy to have a found a pad that is wider than my laptop!

I guess I was a little naive to expect that the top of this thing would be wood. Not a big deal. However, the fact that the top is super slippery composite makes my 2012 15" MacBook Pro simply slide right off the ePad toward my body the second I try to put it down. The angle that the cushion creates is great because you don't have to crane your neck, but it's not much good if the computer doesn't stay put. This is further exacerbated by the fact that the silver plastic stopper at the bottom is too shallow/rounded to stop the computer. The rounded edges of laptop roll right over the stopper. Not good!
The top right foot of the MacBook Pro also sits on the "carry hole" eyelet, making it slightly uneven. Maybe this eyelet could've gone on the left side for cable passthrough of a charger?
I so wanted to like this ePad - it has potential, but it needs a design tweak. Make the stopper at the bottom deeper and make it out of sticky rubber so there's actual friction to prevent the computer from sliding forward.
I'm typing this review on the ePad and it's quite comfortable. The reason? I've duct taped a hollowed ball-point pen casing to the top of the stopper to add some depth to it. The computer doesn't move at all now.
Good product idea, poor execution. Fix it!

I bought one of these for my daughter at college. She loves it so much that I decided to order one for myself. She uses hers for her laptop and especially likes the bottom ledge and the opening for cables. I'll use mine for reading books. The padding on this lap desk is thicker than any we've ever had.

This appears to be the best made lap desk I've seen. I love the wood and my 15 " fits well on it. Despite my cons, this is not a deal breaker. (You can find other ways to tilt it and use a cutting board next to you for your mouse.) If you want a good desk, this is it!

I was looking for a laptop desk, to help elevate my laptop and keep my neck from bending too far. This is the best product I've found. It is just a little on the heavy side, but it is sturdy and does the job really well. The only thing I would change to make it just a little bit better would be to elevate it even more - but I've got a bad back. Every little bit helps me.
Overall, it's really a great product and I'm glad I made this purchase.

This is the BEST.
I've had my fair share with lap laptop desk, and trust me, this one is the best.
I'm using it right now, whilst watching Jimmy Fallon on my couch! It provides a PERFECT viewing angle, and contrary to someone else's review, it works SPLENDIDLY with my 15' MacBook Pro. I even have a case on it, and its perfect.
I also drove to another state, and it was good to use while in the passenger seat to finish up some work, or read a book. My son used it so watch a movie, and finish his homework! It is so amazing. I would recommend this one for EVERYBODY. So great...
