The Axis is designed to withstand heavy use, including connectors with rubber gaskets to seal out moisture: a 3.5mm headphone output, DC In, Aux In and a USB cell phone charger (cable not included). A telescopic antenna provides maximum range and reception.

Works beautifully (but we haven't had to use it in a poweroutage yet!). We would buy it again, but just be sure you are aware that no AC cord included even though it does not say so (most people have cords they use with other electronics and not a problem). Great size and easy to handle.

During the last big ice storm in my area, I lost power for four days. Through it all, I had access to weather information, a bright emergency light, and could even charge my cell phone and use my MP3 player—all with this amazing emergency radio. I keep it charged up all the time—and when the charge runs out, all I have to do is switch to batteries or turn the crank and I'm back in business. Every home should have one of these!
