I am at home recovering from back surgery. I have been keeping my laptop on my bent legs while lying in bed. I actually have a rash from the heat of the computer. My husband lent me his older version of the lap desk. My lap top has a loose cord connection, so I thread the cord throught the handle and voila.. the cord doesnt fall out onto the floor making it almost impossible for me to reach. My rash on my leg is healing. Great product when you are stuck in bed and want to use your computer, write, do crossword puzzles etc.

This was a terrible product. Ordered it online and the plastic bar that holds the laptop on the lap desk was not installed straight. I exchanged the desk at a Brookstone store 20 miles away and when I returned home I discovered the corner of the desk was broken and re-glued on. I was pretty fed up with the back and forth and decided to just swallow the cost of this terrible product.

My 75-year-old mother was surprised and pleased with the Lap Desk I got her for Mother'a Day. The quality of the tray and cushion, as well as the space for a cord, have made using her e-reader more comfortable -- when she slows down long enough to read! I told my family I would like one of my own for my next birthday.

This is a great idea! No more sitting funny to balance my laptop while sitting on the couch. I bought two, and we both love them. I saw them on a tv show & thought it would be a handy thing to have. And it sure is!
It's not just for a laptop, it's great for writing & reading as well.

I had the old version of this called the ePad Laptop Desk, and the pillow ended up getting un-stiched from the inside after a few uses, making the pillow useless. So, I exchanged it for this eComfort Laptop Desk and I can see the improvements. The pillow on this version is softer, and the stiching is more durable. I've had my eComfort desk for a few months and is still going strong. The desk surface is also very sturdy (better than the ePad version). Also, this desk can be used with any laptop, even a large widescreen one, so it's universal and you do not have to worry whether or not the edges of your big laptop will go over the edges of this desk.

I bought this product because I am limited to bed rest due to a broken ankle. This lap desk allows me to comfortably do paperwork and correspondence. It is generous in size as well.

I have been using my eComfort Lap Desk for about a year. It is super comfy and big enough for my laptop to fit comfortably on. The one downside is that I have just discovered that the top material (whatever they cover this in) is starting to bubble and come loose on one side because of the heat of my laptop. I feel like this is an extreme flaw of the design since it is specifically recommended for laptop use. Although in all other ways it is a great product, I am very disappointed with this new problem.

I use my eComfort Lap Desk's (I bought a second one for my cabin in the ADK's) for reading, e-mail, web browsing, iPad games and paying bills almost every day. It is convenient, perfectly sized and comfortable to use. It is perfect for use while watching the sunrise with my morning coffee. I would recommend it to my Grandchildren and that is a BIG compliment to the designers.
