As so many others have stated, after less than 2 years, the on/off switch just stopped working. Expect so much more from Brookstone. You guys know this, so why don't you do something about it???

I bought this in October 2012 and thought it was great. Five months later the on/off switch broke, it is made of cheap plastic. At this price point you would expect to get a better product. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Loved the mirror until the on/off dimmer switch broke. I had it less then 6 months when the switch gave up. For the price, I would expect the mirror to last for years not months.

Bought as a gift for my wife and she loves it. Uses it for makeup and eyebrows maintenance.
I don't use it because 10X is too much magnification for shaving. In my opinion, a 10X/5X combination would be better.
Nice Design and sturdy. Folds away nicely against the wall.
It would be nice to have the option to direct wire and mount to an electrical box to eliminate the dangling power cord. In cases where this may be mounted over the only existing bath outlet, an electrical outlet in the mirror base would be required.

So glad I found this mirror. My very old suction cupped, gooseneck mirror finally fell apart. I was lost without it. This is fantastic! The light is really helpful and the magnification is perfect. Pricey but worth it after looking around and not finding what I needed anywhere else.

I really loved this mirror but the switch on mine never seemed quite right and now I can't even get it to turn on. I've only had it for a year and if I could find a new switch for it, I'd try that. I don't think its the bulb because once in a while it will go on. I'm so frustrated. It certainly was not a cheap mirror and should last a lot longer than a year. I am so bummed, needless to say.
