I bought this clock for my boyfriend for Christmas. He would usually use his cell phone alarm but got in a bad habit of always hitting the snooze button and after a while he no longer reacted to the alarm. When he started using this clock he definitely got up! This clock is not only loud but it's super sturdy so when it rolls off the desk it holds up really well and then he has to chase after it as it beeps and whistles everywhere. My boyfriend tried to hit the snooze button but it's a fake button and he's definitely up by the time he finds the right button to turn it off. Best clock for those who rely too much on a snooze button and oversleep. Works on floors and carpet too. It is a bit pricey but it does what it claims and it's pretty cute too.

Bought two so that my" Old enough children" will be awakened when needed. They do agree that they will get up to chase it down however the beep alarm is not obnoxious enough to cause them to get up to turn it off. They use it to get them up for work...which is the reason they really need to get up. But, for something else, like going for coffee with friends or exercise time...they will sleep in. Oh Well...its their fault when not at previously arranged meetings.

I purchased this as a gift for a college student that is very difficult to wake. Evidently, Clocky is SO obnoxious she now gets up so she won't have to chase the dratted thing around her room! LOL!!

It is actually used by my 13 year old daughter who has hit the teen "can't get out of bed" phase, and was whacking her snooze alarm on school mornings and falling back asleep. Even moving her alarm after she went to bed didn't work- she would stumble over and hit the snooze and go right back to sleep. Clocky is perfect for her- she really has to wake up to find him since he is rolling all around her room and turn him off. And for some reason, the name "Clocky" has personalized him so much for her, so she is actually quite attached to him!
