Worth the cost! I was kind of breaking a sweat in the middle of the night & summer months too warm to cuddle my man through the night. Not any more! I use the cool setting and dont need the air cond anymore. Motor is very quiet. Temperature adjusts quicky. Easy to throw on the bed, under the top sheet. My sleep is much improved and I love this product.

This is the best sleep I have had for years. I am newly menopausal but any woman going through the years approaching menopause and early years into menopause and perhaps even later, understands whats it is like to throw the covers on and off all night due to the insomnia brought about from sleeping too hot and hot flashes. My husband even says he hasnt seen me sleep this soundly in years which translates to him getting a good night's sleep since he is a light sleeper and disturbed by my previous tossing and turning. I loved the product so much that after two weeks, I bought a second one for our bedroom up at the cabin too!

we have a split mattress bed two xl twins. so we have two sets of pads. the remotes dont work well when there is one more to conflict with. meaning everytime i turn my remote on to where i like it, my hubby has to like it too because his goes to that number too.
its not so good for two people who like things totally the opposite. other than that we love when we are both happy about it. i dont seem to have to change the temp too often. i even forget about it for a week or so then i remember and think hmmm hows my butt feel lol.. but then i situate it to whats good for me up or down one or two and thats it.

I used to wake at 4:00 a.m. in a sweat, my heart beating furiously trying to keep me cool; now, for the first time in years and years, I've managed to sleep most of the night without any abnormal heart action. I can't imagine how it was that this was not invented decades ago.

I've had my ChiliPad for almost 3 years now and I don't know how I would get by without it. Since my initial purchase I also got a newer unit. On the newer units they have worked out all the problems the 1st generation units had that other reviewers have mentioned. The newer units are much quieter, the lights are a very comfortable soft, dim blue and the audible feedback signal is quieter too. It seems to be more responsive too. It seems to have a faster flow rate and quicker temperature changes compared to the prior generation systems. It also has a nicer remote control.

My mattress is a Select Comfort Sleep Number bed which is very comfortable, but it doesn't breathe well and I was always waking up trying to find a cold spot to move to.

Due to health issues I was having night sweats and this has stopped them completely. It constantly maintains whatever temperature I set it for. In the winter I like to set it to 100° an hour before bed time and then I set it back to 72° and I'm good all night. My girlfriend sets hers to 81° during the winter months.

In the summer I set mine to 65 to 68° and I can run the airconditioning at 77° instead of the 68° I was setting it at without the ChiliPad.

While the initial cost may seem high, the payback is fairly quick and if you work where they have a flexible medical spending plan, with a doctor's note, you can get the cost reimbursed.

Each unit needs to refilled with demineralized water every 10 to 14 days of use (about 3 ounces each time). To make this easier, keep a small squeeze bottle filled with demineralized water (available at any supermarket or pharmacy). It makes it much easier than working with a big water jug and a funnel. I think ChiliPad should include a squeeze bottle, but until that time, you now know what to do. :)

My bed is a bit unique; it's a raised Captain's platform bed. It' very high and has storage drawers and doors underneath. Because of this I bought the extension hoses.

Due to hot flashes at night I did not sleep well. The cooling pad helps maintain a "cool" feeling, so I'm not waking up all night kicking the covers on and off. I am finally getting a good nights sleep. Yea!!! Love it!!
It is a bit expensive, but worth every penny!

I really like the way it cools my side of the bed. No more night sweats or hot flashes. I also like the remote control for changing the temperature without getting out of bed.
What I don't care for is the amount of noise the unit on the floor makes. The sound is a fan running constantly. I had it under the head of the bed, then moved it the next night to under the foot of the bed. The base unit also generates a good bit of heat, so I have to keep my bedroom door open or the room gets quite warm.
Overall, I would still buy it because it does keep me cool at night.

I use this product every night. I feel like it has really helped keep me from waking up hot. I have a Memory Foam matress pad and it makes me sleep hotter. I got tired of waking up hot so much and finally broke down and bought me a Chilli Pad from Brook Stone. I am very happy with it so far. You set the temp you want and it heats or cools to keep you just right. Takes a little while to find the right temp that is comfortable for you to sleep. when its cool usually I set mine at 73 and hot weather set it around 70.
