The Sikorsky SH-60/MH-60 Seahawk (or Sea Hawk) is a twin turbo shaft engine, multi-mission United States Navy helicopter based on the airframe of the United States Army/Air Force UH-60 Black Hawk. The SH-60 Seahawk is still being operated by the U.S. Navy. The SH-60B variant of the Seahawk, a twin-engine helicopter, was the primary anti-submarine platform used by the U.S. Navy. SH-60B was also used for search and rescue, drug interdiction, anti-ship warfare, cargo lift, and special operations. The –B version of the Seahawk first flew on February 11, 1983.
