The large crystal-clear acrylic lens ensures a crisp, clear image. Open the hinge for use as a Magnifier or close the hinge for use as a Desk Lamp.       Comments about Carson 1.75x LED Lighted Magnifying Lamp with 4x Spot Lens:

      This was a gift to my elderly mother with failing vision from macular degeneration. She loves this lamp. Her only comment was that she had to put it on a lower TV table instead of the desk because you have to look down through the glass and the neck is not flexible enough to accommodate putting it on a higher table/desk.
