I have an iPad, which is great for email and internet and games, but I don't take it to work or use it around the house so much. This product allows me to take notes, create shopping lists and occupy the kids all in one. Being able to save electronically only what I want to keep is great - I can than archive on my PC for later use.

I am still trying to understand fully how to use it without loosing any of the notes I wish to transfer to my computer. Some manage to make it, some do not. So far, I haven't tested it on a live project that would be damaging if I lost it; however, I don't want that to happen. I love that it will go for 7 days with average use. I love that it will send the notes to my computer (most of the time). The instructions are not detailed enough and the FAQs don't always have my question in it. That being said, I am still wanting to give it a try. I've had it two weeks.

I love it. I've been looking for a device like this for years - one that will save my handwritten notes to my computer. The RIP works exceptionally well for this. I can jot stuff and quickly erase it or save and review the file later. No more searching around my desk for misplaced sticky notes!
You do have to use the stylus that comes with it, so attaching it with a string helps keep it handy. It could really use a program that converts jottings to Word text.

I bought this device as a gift for my husband. We are trying to cut down on school notes/papers. This is a great device, but the plug and play features do not work on Vista. We haven't tried the device on Windows 7/8. We had to install third-party software, which is constantly running in order to use the save function. The instructions are minimal and the third-party software is not mentioned. Instructions are definitely lacking in content. There aren't any troubleshooting forums on the web.

I purchased this product for the man in my life for Father's Day. I wanted to give him a better way of recording information that he would keep on scrapes of paper. He played with it and I anticapate that he will continue to play with it.

I am an Architect and bought this for paperless note taking and sketches. Overall it is pretty cool. You need to write slowly and evenly for everything to show up in the pdf. The kids love it, it is like a modern etch-a-sketch but you can save your drawing.
