Does anyone know how to turn off alam setting? It keeps ringing at the same time. When I touch it it stops ringing, but the next day it rings again. I lost the instructions but was able to set everything else. On the whole I like it. It is wimsical and a neat way to check time, temperture, etc.

The alarm function on/off is counter-intuitive. It looks like at least a few users are baffled by turning it on or off. The instructions explain it; you simply press one of the up or down buttons for a couple of seconds or more and the alarm is disabled (the icon disappears) - same for turning the alarm back on again.
It would be nice if the backlight stayed lit when setting the time or alarm.

I bought Bob about eight years ago for a giggle. Now I'd be lost without it. I keep it in the kitchen and mainly use it for the thermometer. Unfortunately, I took it to work as we were having problems with temperature control and everyone had a fiddle of it. Some idiot set the alarm and drove me nuts until I managed to disable it! Sadly, the display is now fading, but I'm delighted it's still available so I can replace it on my next visit in a few months. Thanks, Brookstone.

I usually hit snooze (I hit the clock) and it usually falls off my nightstand forcing me to get my butt out of bed after hitting snooze once. :)

I use the product for an alarm clock in the morning. It works fine, its got decent construction, and its cool looking. The only problems is it goes through batteries so fast. After a few weeks the LCD fades way to the point where I can't see it and I have to change the batteries.
