I bought 2 of these for my daughters who both have Ipads. The store salesperson did a full demo in 60 seconds. The stand is very stable & functional for 'lap' use, yet folds up to a perfect mini-feeling size. The keyboard can't fall out - "sticks" to the folder via hidden magnets . Bluetooth keybd means NO wires, but has a rechargeable battery! Great value.

I pad shows the entire screen if you use the keyboard over only half if using the on screen one. Lets you see all you are typing.

Though the product has a good warranty and it works well, I was very surprised that it is a 3 year disposable item. Too bad that they back of the keyboard does not have a means of replacing a worn out battery. Fortunately, most other items that I own that are battery powered can and do have their batteries replaced when they are depleted.
A feature that would make the keyboard more useful, would be the ability to have a scroll key. If you want to scroll, you must touch the screen, which means you must use one hand to hold the screen, so it remains stable, while you scroll, otherwise, the iPad screen moves in its resting position.
This was a gift, so I won't send it back, but otherwise I would not have purchased it.

I was excited when this product was released and looked to purchase it sooner, however Brookstone had trouble keeping stock up with demand. The overall build quailty of the product is great, with the case not adding too much bulk, and the outside rubber adding a cool and practical look (It doesnt slip off tables easily). The keyboard can be removed and locks into two different positions which angles the iPad Mini at just the right position for either working or watching videos/reading books. Also, the shortcut buttons are extremely useful and work great.

While the keyboard is certainly small (with the keys right on top of each other), as you start to use it more, you become much more adept at typing and enter fewer mistakes.

I would not recomend this product to someone who is looking for a laptop replacement, however if you are looking for a great keyboard case for your iPad Mini to write emails, surf the web, use as a stand, and generally just protect your iPad while traveling/lounging at home, this product is for you.

When I called Brookstone to find out (a) whether the keyboard was removable, and (b) how the case folded, their customer service could not tell me. I ordered it anyway, and it is just what I wanted. The keyboard has magnets, so it can be moved around for different positions, or removed altogether. The case can be propped in various positions for typing or viewing, or wrapped behind out of the way. It is both easy enough to hold and protective enough to remove the keyboard and hand it over to my 5 year old. Since it is a mini iPad, the keyboard is pretty small, and I type slower/with typos, but it beats using the touch keyboard IMO. Happy with the case. It is just what I was looking for. Seems like it will last as long as the iPad itself.

I thought the keyboard would be too small to be useful, but I was wrong. I got this as a Christmas gift and my first thought was "I'll be exchanging this for a "real" keyboard. But after using this for 2 weeks now, I'm keeping it. Yes, the keys are closer together than a full size keyboard, but they are well laid out, have a good feel, and I find that I can type almost as fast on this one as a regular sized keyboard. I don't carry it with me all of the time, but when I need to have a keyboard available for longer e-mails for document revisions - this one is perfect. And the keyboard actually detaches from the case (it is held on by magnets) so it allows for you to slide it back and forth on the case bottom until you get just the right angle. The ONLY negative I can find is that the quotes/comma key is placed a little differently, so you have to get used to that. Otherwise, all of the other keys are where they should be and, with a little practice, you will be typing away as fast as on a regular keyboard.

I use it while watching tv and sitting on my lap. I also use it at work and love that it props up to the correct angle for viewing

the product is great. i use it in my salon at my station to process credit cards and i keep up with all my email.
