I waited to get my hands on the iPad2 (opting to skip buying the first one, knowing the latest would have cameras I can use for video conferencing). Once I got it of course, I had to set it up exactly the way I wanted.. I tried a LOT of software and accessories, only to find much of the stuff out there is pretty bad. The case was most important... The little magnetic folding one that comes with the iPad2 is novel for about one week. After that, it really gets annoying - and really doesn't protect the iPad from the invariable bumps and scrapes. Looking at other cases, I found them impractical or totally useless. I'm VERY pleased with this case. It works with whatever situation and purpose I need. Unlike many other cases, this one actually leaves openings for ALL plugs (charger/sync cord, headphones, front AND back cameras, volume, etc.). If you don't need the keyboard, you can just fold the front all the way over (beyond the point where it would otherwise rest against the keyboard), so the iPad is sitting flat on top of the bottom/keyboard part of the case. If you want your screen propped up, but still don't need a keyboard (to watch a movie or play your iTunes music), the top/iPad part of the case can rest just a little forward of the keyboard, held in place by the "armrest" pad. And when I really do need to type (taking notes, creating documents or writing long emails) then it's right there. You pair/connect the bluetooth keyboard with the iPad once, and it'll remember it next time. I've had it several months already. With normal use (a few documents per month), it seems I've only had to charge it a couple times. Great battery life. Excellent case. Great price. 5 stars.

I bought this as a gift for my dad who does everything on his iPad. Considering the great reviews, I was shocked to be so disappointed from the moment I opened it
-the product doesn't lose it's shape, i.e. the folded part below the keypad sticks up until you lay your wrists on it to type. I thought it would be weighted so it would "stick" or fall to the table when in use.
-the keys are pretty small/close together for a 55 year old man. I was hoping for an upgrade from the iPad keys, but this doesn't seem to be it.
-the most disappointing feature is the angle in which the iPad sits in the case. It is almost straight up and down, rather than at a convenient angle where the user can view the screen with comfort. Unless you are at a high top table or are a short person, this may be a bit of an issue.
Bottom line, I am returning this item. I would probably keep it if it was half the price or he was half the height.

Decent Keyboard, BUT needs a NON-STANDARD tiny tiny USB cable connector. Lose the special cable and your keyboard is toast. They were so focused on making it thin they didn't have room for a standard connector, so they came up with thinner one that doesn't work with any of the dozen or so cables that work fine with other devices.

I use the product everyday at work and at home. I especially like the aspect of being able to type on a keyboard.
If there was anything I didn't like it would be that it is a bit on the heavy side, but then again, there is security and durability in keeping the product from harm.

I received this case as a birthday gift in August. However I didnt use it until recently. I had an apple wireless keyboard I used at home. But then my laptop broke and I made the transition to using my iPad as my full time computer. So I started to use this case. I bring it with me everywhere. I have been using the case for about a month and today is the first time I've ever had to charge it. I love the fact that I can throw the case into my backpack and go. I haven't broken it yet which is quite a testament to this Casey's durability considering I throw my backpack around. I love the bright color. This is easy to prop up on my desk and take notes with. Its a nice design especially for traveling however the many features that could have been designed in are non-existent. The standby mode on an Ipad can be magnetically activated and without using that feature both the Ipad as well as the keyboard need to be shut off independently. Additionally either switch is not very accessible when the Ipad is installed. It also would have been nice if they would have added a pocket for a stylus pen. They give no indication whether the battery can be replaced or would need to be serviced. Overall I like it and I'm keeping it since nothing else on the market compares but it is expensive and I would expect the product should be feature rich.

I received this as a Christmas gift. I am 71 and use my iPad2 mostly at work with the management team. This case and keyboard is super for social media messaging and when on a plane. It permits me to shift from a work case to a relaxation case and expands iPad2 functionality. I like it and recommend it. Dare to have two iPad2 cases! :) I recommend it.
