I purchased this on impulse waiting for a delayed flight. I was headed to a full day of meetings. This was the perfect accessory to my iPad. I was able to type my notes into the agenda and even email them to others. Now that I am back at home, my notes are already done, and I am ready for my next task. I do still prefer a more basic case for everyday games and reading ebooks since this case restricts the orientation to portrait. regarding the "frame" that surrounds the iPad, it is not very sturdy and wants to distort if not used as pictured on the box. This is another reason I prefer a different case for reading and games.

I picked this product up on a whim hoping to replace my planner which I use as a note pad and a place to store business cards and other paraphernalia. Coupled with the iPad notpad, or other note taking application the keyboard is adequate. The case looks nice but you will need to set the keyboard aside if you are using your iPad for reading. The on/off switch is kind of flimsey, the switch on the demo unit in the store was broken. There are no pockets or pen loops, this is a big miss. The delete key works as a backspace and there doesn't appear to be any way to change it, another big miss. In fact there doesn't appear to be any documentation on the keyboard at all beyond what the lights and the and the on/off switch does. There is no documentation on what the Control, Command and Alt/Option key do. The right side Shift key is undersized. You could do better with other products in my opinion

for typing in this box and tabbing to the next its fine..
but for actually controlling your ipad, switching between apps, launching apps, scrolling a search engine results page, or seeing you ipad screen at a convenient angle while sitting at a table or in bed, its not adjustable. there is no charger, only a cable, so you have to take your ipad charger and plug into the brick, or plug it into your laptop to charge it ;-) lol.
if you really need to type just get the apple keyboard its wider and so better, and get a more adjustable case so you can use you ipad portrait or landscape, and at many angles too.

I usse this for working from home and as an alternative to lugging around a laptop to meetings. It is light, portable and convenient. In addition, it looks like a book and I think makes it less likely to be swiped.
The only thing I have noticed is that when it is set up, sometimes the iPad volume button is resting on the keyboard and you have to adjust so they are not touching.

It doesn't stand well when on lap so it won't be my preferred way of use when sitting on the couch. Rather, I move to the kitchen table to use, which won't be often. Mostly feel like I wasted my money since probably costs twice the value provided.
