I purchased this item last year to use at work (a busy medical office)since I was tired of my coffee getting cold before I could even finish a mug. It has been a work horse - used at least two times during each work day and has never failed me. I love the different temperature settings...I set it on high when the mug is full and change to the lower setting when almost empty so as not to burn the coffee. My co-workers are envious of this great little office accessory so I am surprising them by getting more for the office. Only downfall is that I find it works best with a standard size 'diner' style coffee mug and will not accommodate larger mugs. Other than that I highly recommend this attractive and useful product.

I now have 5 coffee warmers and none of them are worth the powder to blow them up. I can't understand the people who say they work. My first two, from other makers, were hopeless. One maker sent me a replacement and it was just as bad. Then I heard about this with 2 settings and it was 3 times as expensive so I asked for it for Christmas. It is no better. I called Brookstone and they gladly sent me another and, of course it is no better, That's why I have 5!
After complaining about my experience, a friend suggested putting a cover on the mug. I did that and it helped a lot. A great deal of heat is lost through the top. But I shouldn't have to do that. A perfectly flat bottom also helps. Coffee makers keep coffee warm enough, just. Why can't they make a warmer that does the same thing. The only thing I can think of is that this is a new batch and they cut corners. If it weren't a gift I would send it back.

You do not need a flat-bottomed cup. Most other beverage warmers do not keep the liquid really hot because of the shape of the bottom of the cup. You have a choice of keeping your beverage warm or hot. I no longer have to go all the way to the kitchen microwave to rewarm my tea. I always linger over a cup for maybe a half hour. Don't waste your money on a cheaper brand

Despite some hours of attempted use, I couldn't get the warmer to stop off-gassing horrible fumes. There are a lot of positive reviews, perhaps mine was a bad one. Ended up throwing it away as I waited too long to return/exchange it.

Finally a beverage warmer that actually keeps my coffee hot and not just lukewarm. It has high and low settings, but I always use high. It keeps it hot, but not "burn your mouth" hot. I also like the 2 hour auto shut-off feature. That's plenty of time for me to finish my cup, but puts me at ease for safety reasons. Another reviewer had mentioned a burining smell. I did notice that, but only the first couple of times I used it. I figured it was just the newness of it and it wore off quickly. Overall I'm very happy with my beverage warmer!

I need information on how to return this mug warmer. The two settings are worthless and it doesn't keep your cup of coffee warm. And the auto shut off is worthless, too, since the mug warmer doesn't work it doesn't really matter if it shuts off in 2 hours.
