Received this as a gift for Christmas, and it is fairly easy to get to the brewing. Instructions are a little confusing with missing information from the included instructions versus the instructions from the beer mix. I've only made 1 brew so I'm sure it will be easier with the next one. The Beer Machine itself is too tall for just the bottom shelf in my refrigerator so I had to remove the shelf above it and now I'm down quite a bit of capacity for food and other items in the fridge. I don't think it will fit in a dorm size fridge so I might be looking for another full-size fridge for the garage. Overall I am pleased with the product.

My wife bought me this for Christmas and we tried it for the 1st time a couple weeks ago. The CO2 container caused the plastic to become fragile and disintegrate and now NO CO2 can be put in. The CO2 container immediately dispenses all CO2 which makes the unit totally unfunctional. I called the company and they asked for the receipt and packing list to see if the part was covered under warranty. I asked what the warranty was and they told me 60 days. Suffice it to say we were outside the warranty period.
It simply doesn't work and is cheap.

Followed all directions to a "T". The beer came out flat. I pumped in C02, but the beer was still flat. I dumped the batch and tried again, thinking maybe it was just a one time thing. The second brew came out just as flat. I gave it a shot, tried twice; both times failures. I just put it out for garbage pickup this morning. DONE! Take my advice and don't waste your money.

I gave this item as a xmas gift to my boyfriends younger brother. He loved it! He had opened & put it together before we were all done with the rest of the gifts. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars, was bc I never gor to try the end result

The product overall is great. There is a leak in ours somewhere, and we are having an issue getting it to seal all the way around and hold the CO2, so have had to get new cartridges already. Other than that the product is good. If you need this on a crunch - it is shipped from a different vendor and takes FOREVER and Brookstone can't update you with shipping because of it. The process of getting it here was a pain in the BUTT but now that it's here, we love it!

i use this to make beer for myself and friends and it is nice to be able to brew different types of beer for less than a dollar a glass. the machine is simple to use and fits in the refridgerator to serve.
