Redecorating my tween's bedroom from a decidedly little kid's decor to something more mature that he can grow into. This chair fit perfectly in our budget and along with the new furnishings (tobacco brown desk, bookcase and headboard). The chair is a deep brown, almost black and has soft "pleather" feel to it. The seat is deep enough to add an accent pillow for a litte splash of color. It arrived with a ottoman in one large box which was very well packed. Just screw in the wooden legs which are study and well designed. The chair is the perfect size for a tween and imagine it will hold up well for several years. We placed the chair with ottoman in a corner near the bookcase and looks fantastic. Delivery was fast. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.
