My low back has been tricky for about 20 years. Every couple years I will tweak it or sleep funny and it will send it into spasms. These spasms can last as long as a month or more and during this time I am usually unable to do simple tasks like bend over and put on my pants. It's just awful. I saw this on Brookstone and decided I had to give it a try. I wasn't afraid of the price since I had already gone to the chiropractor 3 times (at $40/time) and it didn't help any if at all.
Three days after using this device (I used it 3 times/day for the first week) I was already bending over putting on my pants. I was even attending my Yoga class which I had missed the previous 3-4 weeks due to my back spasms.
It is almost three weeks later, and my back feels great. I cannot express how happy I am with this product. My lower back spasms were limiting me to sitting/laying around the house in agony. This device gave me my life back.
The two selling points for me were:
1) Brookstone doesn't sell stuff that doesn't work.
2) Brookstone's return policy.
So it was worth a try.

I bought this for lower back relief--I do NOT suffer from back pain. It's important to note this, as this product must be used on a hard or minimally padded surface, because it is top heavy. I have to set it at least four inches taller than my height (I'm 5'6" and set it to 6', to get true relief). However, the great thing about the Back 2 Life is that you can gradually increase the stretching. This is a perfect gift for older people who have hip problems and minimal back problems. I personally am surprised at the relief it gave me in the hip area. Finally, I have problem knees (not my back). An additional help from Back 2 Life is the massage it gives the inner or anterior part of my knees, right where my meniscus problems are most severe. Great, highly recommended product.

I am a IT guy. I have low back pain for years. I don't expect it works. I bought it just because it's cheap. I was thinking if it helps a little bit, it'll be worth the money. However, it works much better than I thought. After 1 week, I almost have no pain. I still don't understand how it works. When I got it, I wanted to return it immediately. It looked too simple. I don't believe it will work. But it's too much trouble to return. So I tried. It works! Anyway, if you have low-back pain because you sit 10 hours in front of your PC everyday like me, it may works for you!

We use this product twice a day and absolutely love it. It is easy to use and the relaxation is immediate. It was easy to set up and begin using. We put it on a firm board placed on a bed frame (since crawling on this floor isn't as easy as it used to be (smile)) and it works beautifully. Try it, you will love it. Brookstone is a great place to purchase from - they were timely in their responses and getting the product to me.

A Christmas gift for a family member with moderate scoliosis who has difficulty with walking and who finds exercise painful, this product is a God-sent. It is very easy to use and it relieves back pain immediately, albeit for a short period of time. The person using it rates it 7 on a scale of 10 for helpfulness. To me that is a high number. Incidentally, the piece looks like a cute watchdog (remember Snoopy?) as it stands at the foot of a bed forever reminding one to exercise!

I have been using this for about two weeks and the result our outstanding! It's hard to describe - easy to use and my lower back pain is gone for the day or even 2 days. I personally use it almost everyday. When I was younger I broke the lower part of my back... as I'm getting older this is starting to haunt me. So, naturally I always looking for something that would relieve the pain. THIS DID THE TRICK! I highly recommend it to anyone who has back pain. Often, while using it I will also listen to a meditation. The combination is a WINNER!
