My wife and I enjoy wine for our evening dinner and now we can spread the bottle over two days knowing that the second day is as good as the first. Batteries are dead after six or seven uses of the pump. I have not heard the pump start on its own and when I turn on the pump manuallly, it always begins to pump, indicating it does not get all the air extracted. After the second day, the wine is losing taste.

Anyway, I love the way people buy something new and immediately write a glowing review before they have really had a chance to see what the product is really like. I am assuming that this is the case for all the good reviews. The truth is that this product will go through massive amounts of batteries before totally giving up in about a year. Don't waste your money.

This product worked once. Very disappointing coming from a store that's supposed to be upscale. Do not buy. (And I'll be very interested to see if Brookstone acutally posts this review. If not, they'll have lost a customer for life.)
