The reason it is unique is because of the pillow shape. Most winders have one size pillow and if you have a large wrist the diameter of the pillow is usually two small. You must wedge something in between the band and the pillow to stop the watch from flopping around.
With the unique pillow shape here you can put smaller size bands on one way and larger size bands on the other way, and your watch is snug.

A very precise winder with many turns-per-day (TPD) settings. Super quiet. Reason for 4 stars is the finish - painted MDF. Would be 5 stars if made of finished hardwood. I'm very happy with this purchase!

Everything about this thing is great - except that occasionally it stops running and my watches run down. Annoying, to say the least. The fix - jiggle the power plug in the back. In 2012 a better choice of plug and socket could have been made. Pity. I'll try taking it apart and hard wiring it.

Got this from my wife as a Valetine's Day present. The watch winder is actually decent for the price. Well built, TPD setting of 650-1838, 3 types of rotation settings, and the watch cushion seems to be good quality and won't attract dirt like a watch pillow would.
There are however 2 cons to this winder; you can't adjust the cushion size like you can on some winders, and the whole thing is pretty bulky. I have skinny wrists so all my watch bracelets are small enough to fit snug around the cushion but for people with thick wrists I can see this being a major problem.
Overall I'm satisfied with the winder although for an extra $50 I would recommend going for the quad winder.

Bought this for the husband, worth the money. He doesn't wear his nice watches everyday because of his job (military) and then is frustrated when he wants to wear them and he has to reset the time and date. This solves all of those problems. He has been using it for about a week and the watches are still up to speed on time and date and he has very happy, which makes me happy. It is bulky if your tight on space, but if not, it looks great on the dresser or nightstand. The one we bought was the wood and its a nice quality finish.

There is no way to adjust the watch so it is more secure on pedestal. The Tag is secure, not the Rolex.I called Customer service but there is no fix apparently.

This stylish piece was a 40th Bday gift for my hubby, and we both love it! It's quiet, modern looking. Walnut color only available online for now, but it's worth getting if you have brown/earth tones house decor. He uses it for Omega and Longines. The fact that it stands on the side adds a contemporary touch to it. Very well constructed out of real wood.
