Ash Vacuum - 5.8 Gallon, 2 Peak HP
This vacuum is ideal for cleaning and vacuuming ash for your fireplace, pellet stove, fire pit and BBQ grill.
Made with a rust resistant metal tank, this vacuum is designed with 3 layers of filtering to capture even the smallest ash particles. The filters include a Dacron pre-filter, triple layer cartridge filter and metal mesh filter cage to ensure all ash particles stay in the tank. The 3.25" long hose securely connects to the vac and the aluminum hose and wand protect you from the warmer ash particles. The unit has on-board hose storage for convenience and a dust sealed on/off switch to help protect the motor. Included with the unit is a 7.75" aluminum wand, a crevice tool and 8' power cord. 2 year warranty.

The prefilter does not fit properly on the diameter of the rim of the canister and therefore allows ash to contaminate the secondary filter and clog it on one use and potentially compromising the integrity of the electric motor and allowing dust particles to be blown into the environment in which it is being used in. Simple fix if the company acknowledges it and addresses it.

Great vac for using in the fireplace and only the fireplace. No ash gets out because of the double filter. Suction needs to be stronger.

This unit does as advertised. It makes cleaning up the fireplace quick and much less messy. It is not perfect, as larger chips tends to get caught in the mouth and tube, but it's much less messy than a shop vac and has powerful suction without being too loud. I wish it had a longer cord, however.
It is still messy to empty, but again, a lot better than a shop vac or regular vac.
