I've always wanted one of these and finally splurged and got myself one. The prongs that you stick into the meat are so big that I felt like I was leaving gaping holes and it is bulky to store in a drawer but other than that, it works great. I like that it has settings for the different types of meat and it has an automatic shut off and remembers what you used it for last. For the money, it's quite high end.

I received this product in May 08 in Jan of 09 it broke. The batteries had basically exploded in the handle. I removed the batteries and replaced with new, but the unit became extremely hot. Being that this was a gift I did not have a reciept or order number therefore unexchangeable. But I gotta say it worked really well, and I will probably hesitantly purchase another.

This thermometer is easy to use, easy to understand and easy to see. I tried another brand earlier this year and the "grill chefs" hated it. When we figured out how to set it up the readout was practically invisible. My husband refused to use it after a few tries. He is much happier with the Brookstone model. And dinner tastes a lot better, too.

Great tool for outside grilling and in the kitchen as well! Thermometer was received as a gift and was replaced a second time. Being a kitchen tool and direct contact with meats and poultry, it should be made in a way that can be washed without worrying about water getting inside it. We're on our second thermoter and besides the cleaning it is a great tool!

My husband loves this! He was leery about it at first, thinking that he was a true grill master. BUT, the family got really tired of under and over-cooked meats. This product really works and it is extremely easy to use. We have had several successful bar-b-ques thanks to this product. Thank you for saving our meat! It is highly recommended!
