When I bought my Honda Pilot I loved the SUV but for one shocking flaw - the rearview mirror was NOT anywhere near up to the basic task of giving me a decent view of the rear or side, either side, of the SUV !!!! It REALLY bothered me and I feared an accident was likely until I found this product. This is PERFECT. It was soooo stupid and irresponsible of Honda to put a "car-size" rearview mirror in an SUV, but now I really feel safe and in control with this product. I will be sending my parents one since they too have an SUV and I would recommend it to anyone/everyone. Truly it could save your life. Great product. And it fits on - and off, easily and stays on securely. Thank you so, so much.

I drive to several different client homes over the course of a day. Since it attaches over your own rearview mirror, you cannot flip it up at night, unless you have a tinted rear windshield and don't mind the lights behind you. I like that I can see where the passing vehicles are on the highway, since it eliminates most blind spots. However, if a car is low to the ground and you're driving a SUV like I do, you may not see the car as it's pulling up beside you. Luckily I still turn my head to look or I would have had an accident when this happened to me. I would not buy another, but it suits my needs and most of my driving is done during the day. I would only recommend it with all these factors considered.

I think that this product would be useful if it fit my rear view mirror. I previously used a similar product from a different manufacturer in a former car that I owned and felt that it greatly improved visibility and safety. I now drive a 2008 Cadillac CTS which has Onstar controls at the bottom of the rearview mirror that prevent the Allview mirror from being installed. I don't know if this is a problem with all cars that have Onstar but it is certainly a problem with the model of vehicle that I drive. Overall, I think that this is a useful product and the quality seems decent enough. Even though I can't use it, I am still rating it a four because I believe that it would be effective if it fit my vehicle and it could help avoid accidents. I am just deducting a star because it really isn't "universal fit", as advertised. I wonder why automakers don't just install panoramic rear view mirrors like this at the factory.

I have had a previous version of a mirror like this that I purchased from Brookstone many years ago and with which I am very happy. I like this recently purchased mirror but I am not sure it grips the factory istalled rearview mirror as well as the old one because I see more vibration in my field of view with the new one.

I drive a cross over vehicle and like many CRVs and SUVs there is always the inevitable blind spot. For viewing objects on the right side of the vehicle the mirror is great - eliminating all blind spots. I find the mirror not to be quite as good for left side blind spots.
