When it comes to reds, a little air can do lot of good. That’s because the best flavors and aromas of your wine can only emerge when you let it “breathe,” exposing it to the outside air. We designed Aero to do it even better–by bringing the outside in. Aero infuses oxygen directly into your wine, releasing its underlying potential before it’s even out of the bottle.
Our wine aerator helps age younger wines faster.
Younger and more full-bodied wines often require lengthy aging to reach their full potential. By infusing air directly into the wine bottle, Aero softens the wine’s tannins for more smoothness and enhanced flavors–all faster than traditional cellaring and decanting. The result? A more mature, better tasting wine in under a minute. Press the aeration button once for 30 seconds of aeration. Or, for younger, more full-bodied reds, you can experiment by pressing the button again for a second cycle of aeration.
Improve your wine by the bottle or glass
Planning on entertaining? Use the long stem to aerate an entire bottle. Aero’s built-in LED lets everyone see the wine transform right before their eyes. And if your guests need a little refresh or prefer different levels of aeration, the smaller stem is perfect for aeration by the glass. When you’re done, simply place Aero on the included stand.
Discover how good your favorite reds can really be. Try them with the Aero Full Bottle Wine Aerator from Brookstone.

Even though the experts from BTI tested Aero and said it really worked, I still had to see for myself. So I took Aero home and hosted a wine tasting for a group of friends. We had 6 red wines to taste, starting with a Pinot on the light-to-medium side to deep, full-bodied Cabs and Zins at the end. We tasted the wines before aeration, and then tasted them again after using Aero. The difference was incredible! The wines were uniformly smoother, had better flavors and aromas, and were overall just more enjoyable.
And I'm really impressed with how fast Aero worked. Without six decanters just lying around, I would have had no way to let all the wines breathe simultaneously so they'd be properly aerated and ready to taste at the same time. All it took was a few presses of a button and I was able to aerate all the wines in about five minutes total–and put on a little LED light show for my guests! We drank smoother, better tasting wine...and no one had to wait.
Everyone was very impressed. This one's a showstopper.

We seriously wondered if ours even works right since it just bubbles the wine, and little else. We did the side-by-side taste test and saw little difference in the taste at all. Pretty much an expensive conversation piece. And the holder is always damp in side and won't dry out so it is likely a mold-maker waiting to happen.

Pros
- Easy to use
- Fast Aeration
- Fun conversation piece
Cons
- Awkward Storage

Comments about Aero™ Wine Aerator by Brookstone:
This full-bottle aerator really works. We've used it multiple times and always do a before and after taste test. The aerated wine is always better -- fuller and richer with fewer tanins.
Experts recommend decanting most red wine for at least 10-20 minutes before drinking. This tool does the trick in 30 seconds.
I would not recommend using it on white wine or pinot noir.
The only drawback is the storage container. It looks cool but it is hard to clean (wine drips in the bottom and the skinny neck means you can't get to it). It's also not designed to lay on its side so you can't really put it in a drawer. It's cool-looking but I don't want it on my counter top all the time.
Pros
- Looks Nice
Cons
- Cheap construction

After three uses it stopped working. Tried it again and it now works intermittently.
Comments about Aero™ Wine Aerator by Brookstone:
After opening the Red wine, place in the bottle, rinse the wand...and enjoy! The wine is truly transformed w/Freshness and I have used it about 5 times and have nothing but good things to say about how pleased I am. I haven't found any cons at all and probably won't unless it breaks :( So far works great on our true Italian Red's from Italy bottled back in 2006 and thereafter.

Comments about Aero™ Wine Aerator by Brookstone:
Santa brought it to me for Christmas. Skeptical at first but certainly agree with the reviews here so far. The wine opened up and was much smoother at first taste. Tried it side by side with a Zin as well as Chardonnay...It really made a positive difference in both. Easier to use than the Vinturi

Cons

Best Uses
Comments about Aero™ Wine Aerator by Brookstone:
This is an excellent aerator. Fast and easy to use. I only wish the container could store both wands easily. You have to put the smaller wand in first and then the longer wand attached to the top. We like to use the smaller wand more often. So we are having to switch around the wands and it gets a bit annoying. It would be nice if regardless of the size of the wand you have attached, you could insert the other wand first and then easily insert the second wand. Just a thought for future consideration.
Pros
- Quick and easy

Comments about Aero™ Wine Aerator by Brookstone:
More convenient than a decanter
