I bought these candles for eight of my windows. They look beautiful, however, one of the timers in one of the candles was malfunctioning- coming on before or after the others, turning off after only three hours. I did call for a replacment, but none were available. I also asked if a replacement bulb was available, but it wasn't. I changed the batteries around in the candle- it has seemed to help, for now!

I guess my biggest issue with this product is that they require 4 AA batteries each. I was quite concerned with the amount of batteries, in addition to performance. I'm fairly certain the online description said they took 3 AA batteries. When you need 11 candles, this makes a difference. In a preview, they looked great. Nice and bright in the window from the street. They are a gift, though, so we won't know for sure if they are a winner. Additionally, the bulbs "pop" out very easily and break. I'm not sure where to get replacements.

Ordered 8 lights in pewter. Color very shiny. Not like pewter. One bulb only partially lights. No replacement bulbs or complete lights available.

We have looked for many years and were able to purchase these candles when Brookstone was offering a 20% discount and free shipping. We were concerned they wouldn't be bright enough to be seen from the street, but was pleasantly surprised at the street brightness. All 13 candles arrived in perfect condition. Set-up was easy and they all work perfectly.

I bought 31 candles. They all turn on within moments of each other. Bright white lights on outside view with soft white light on inside as adverised. I just love them. Hope they last the season.

The concept is a great idea, but these candles fall short in technology. The auto timer function has issues in about 1/3 of the candles I purchased. I set them to turn on at 4:45 and off at 10:45. They often turn on again around 7 a.m. when I am getting ready to go to work. For all I know it happens during the day while I am at work too! So I have to unscrew them and screw them back on at 4:45 to reset them. This has happened on 5 candles, including one that was sent to me as a replacement due to this issue. I bought both the Williamsburg and Adjustable height versions. The candle is the same for both, with different bases. The brightness is perfect! The quality of the bronze metal bases is great, except that the bronze finishes on the two versions are slightly different colors if that matters to you. Customer Service has been very accommodating, but it is getting frustrating to have this problem continue to occur on multiple candles, especially given their price. As long as you don't mind resetting some of the candles every few days then these are far better than electric options.

I bought 11.Lined them up & set timer.placed them in windows.1 week later,I am resetting timer. 1 didn't work-no & replacement available.They are very bright. Love the holders.Wish I could buy a new bulb.Was told they no longer carry this product. Hopefully, I can find new candles to fit the holders.

I've been searching a long time for an LED candle that is battery operated, on a timer, bright enough to replicate the old plug-in style candles, and is affordable. This candle meets all criteria, and was even brighter than I expected. Several years ago I purchased LED candles from another retailer and put them in all my front windows. When I went outside to see how they looked I thought they were great - if I was trying to imitate a haunted house. So, I brought them all back. I decided to give these a shot since Brookstone seemed to address the all-too-familiar brightness issue with their "street-side brightness". It's true, and it's a brilliant idea to make them brighter on one side than the other. I am so happy that I am purchasing more of these. Oh, and because they are LED they are cool to the thouch, which is important if you are going to have a shade over them. I can't comment on how long the batteries last as I just got them. But, if I get an entire season out of them as Brookstone suggests I will, then I will be happy.
