This is the best AA to USB charger I have found. It's even better than iGo's adapter.
It automatically turns itself on and off, as needed. It slowly charges your device- this is good for your device, and it enables the charger to efficiently consume the AA cells.
Please note that AA cells are no match for smartphones and iPads. They will charge the device, but not completely. For example, a brand new set of AA cells charged my iPad mini from 71% to 95% before they were exhausted.

Cannot generate enough power to properly charge a Nokia Lumia 920. It got it enough juice, to turn on, then just reboot... and be stuck in a wait to get power, but not enough, so it shuts down again.
