I bought 4 of these chairs last year and they looked great the first few weeks and then it was all downhill from there. Within 4 weeks, the fabric itself has black mold spots. The arm rests are either cracking or peeling (my son cut its hand on the cracking!!). The color has faded on the arm rests. I tried several times to clean them using all sorts of products. To ensure the cleaning products themselves were not causing the damage, I only cleaned two of the chairs. The other two I would just wipe down with soapy water. Since all the chairs look the same, it was definitely not the cleaning products. I pulled out the chairs this spring with the hopes that I would be able to use them and of course they look horrible. They currently sit in the corner of my garage taking up space. Normally I wouldn't have too much of a product if products didn't last long, but I paid slightly over $200 plus shipping for these chairs. My advice, go buy the cheap ones instead of these expensive ones. Maybe the plastic version will last longer, because the Brookstone Zero-Gravity Lounge Chairs will not last the entire summer.

Bought 4 of these loungers after exhaustive searching.
PROS: Great price. They are good to go right out of the box - the only thing I had to do was attach the cup holder! So comfortable they made me sit out by my pool even more than I already did.
CONS: I purchased the light stone fabric color and after three months beside our pool, with no shade cover, there are mildew spots all over them. Also, the armrests are light colored wood and within 2 weeks all of them began to "grow" dark black spots, even though they appear to be varnished. I've tried everything to get rid of the stain, short of sanding the finish off and staining them myself, but nothing works. I did use bleach on one chair and with a little scrubbing it did the trick without ruining the fabric.
All in all, the comfort and price outweighs the armrest problem. I'll deal with that next summer.

Liked the look of this chair and read reviews so we decided to get a couple. Big mistake! These chairs are on a lanai so they aren't directly in the elements. Within the first year the grommets and screws started to rust. Being that these chairs are made for the outdoors I would think they wouldn't rust. I'm very disappointed with both the chair and Brookstone for not standing behind the products they sell. Unless you plan to put these chairs inside when not in use, I recommend looking for a better quality chair.

I bought a set of two chairs and use them on my patio. They are comfortable. I was a little disappointed in the the shade of the beige color. It had more of a yellowish hue to it, rather than a neutral beige color. Also, if you have it in the initial sitting position, the back is completely vertical, which makes it not a comfortable sitting position. Other than that, we are happy with the chairs and enjoy reclining and relaxing in them!

My 91 yr old mother didn't want me to order as they were "too expensive". We received them and she's been in them everyday....for hours. She loves them and tells me how happy she is I ordered them. My neighbor also ordered after she tired them out. Order...you won't be sorry!
