It might be good to note this in the instructions. [...] I tried twice to attach this to my cell phone and finally figured it out that it would not work. Just thought I would save someone else the trouble should they think this is a purpose of this locator. Apparently keys only!

This thing is a piece of JUNK!!!!!the small buttons that attach to your keyring or whatever else you want to find, are very easily broken from the slightest pressure, such as putting your keys in your pants pocket and sitting down, also the door on the back of the buttons comes off very easily, and you lose the battery, you can find better products somewhere else and a lot better made and cheaper too.

The key fob falls apart for no reason losing the small ring that attaches the key fob to the larger ring. This is the second time this has happened, and it can no longer be returned.

While it is a great idea to find lost keys or your tv remote, product did not work long or consistently. Remotes did not always beep and after 6 months would not work at all. Remotes for TV remote controllers rarely worked and you could not get them un-stuck from tv remotes without breaking them. Quality did not match the price paid. I was not alone with the problems with The Smart Find Plus . The Product above is a newer model, but I beleive uses the same key remotes. It was my fault for not returning this product immediately.

The range wouldn't work in my 600 square foot first floor if there was a wall in between the keys and base. The back fell off the first day. Unfortunately my husband is returning it, which I am bummed since I always misplace my keys.

I purchased this as a gift for my mother and father inlaw. They are 80 and 90 and keep losing their keys. It was easy for them to set up and use. I would recommend this to a friend. I am hoping it will help fix their problem.

Mine was dead on arrival. It worked briefly when within about a 3' range, then stopped working altogether. It killed two sets of batteries in one day each. I cracked open the box and found two shorted pins on an IC. I removed the short and installed a third set of batteries. It works reasonably well now, although the range is nowhere near the advertised 60', even line of sight.

Worked pretty good out of the box, but the range was a little hit and miss depending where my keys were. The first fob broke with in a month and I'm not hard on things. After 3 months the range dropped to the point where you had to be with in 6 inches of the unit and that's with fresh batteries in both the base unit and the fob.

This product is extremely cheap quality. It didn't even work well out of the box, as the tone on one key fob was very low and would have been hard to find if missplaced. Battery cover on one fob broke first day. Metal loop on second fob broke off at 4 weeks. Today we missplaced a key chain and tried to find it with base unit. Hunted all over the house with no luck so checked the batteries in the base unit and sure enough it was completely corroded - at only 8 weeks and with virtually no use. I've never taken the time to write a product review in my life, but this product is so poor I feel compelled to warn others. I'd give it 0 stars if possible.
