Once the current reaches the follicle, the natural water and salt solution around the follicle turns into sodium hydroxide and destroys the hair root.
e-PEN™ can be used to remove one hair at a time, or over larger areas.
Use the narrow tips to remove single hairs and the self-adhesive pads to remove hair from larger areas, like the upper lip. Since hair grows in cycles, repeated use is recommended for complete hair removal. e-PEN™ features a built-in skin sensor, LED indicator light, automatic timer/buzzer and more. Tips, pads and conductivity gel are included. Uses 2 AA batteries (included).

I have been using this every 2-3 days for the last two weeks on my upper lip. Different hair grows at different times - that's why you have to use this product for 8-12 weeks - to kill all the hairs. The hair growing now is very fine - not like wiskers anymore. Huge improvement. I think I have "killed" all of the mature hair and new "baby" hairs are growing out. I expect they will die soon too!

I got this a gift for Christmas, and I love it. I did the one that has the body pads which I love. It's easy to use, and really doesn't hurt. I will admit you can feel a really slight tingle with the body pads, but only at first. Really is a great product, I would deffenitly say you should get it.

When I purchased this product, I was confident that I would receive a quality item that would work the way it's described. I have always had good luck with Brookstone items in the past. After receiving the ePen, I opened the box and read the instructions. The product description online and in the catalog do not tell the whole story. According to the instruction manual, you have to use this product 2-3 times every week for 3 MONTHS in order to see any results. That seemed a little deceptive, since the description made it sound quick and simple, but I figured I'd give it a shot. After 3 months of use, I have seen NO results at all. Frustrated, I checked into this product elsewhere in the internet, and I've found that the vast majority of women(I'd say roughly 95% of those who review it) got the same results that I did: NOTHING. I wish I had checked out the product reviews and information on other sites prior to wasting my time and money. I am very disappointed.
