Solar-Powered Flag Light

Solar light illuminates your flag to display it 24 hours a day.

This ultra-bright flag light is solar-powered--no cords or batteries are needed.
The United States Flag Code tells us that you can display the flag during the hours of darkness, as long as it is properly illuminated. Now you can display your flag proudly 24 hours a day with a wireless, flexible gooseneck solar light. It mounts easily on any flagpole up to 3" diameter. Water-resistant aluminum and stainless-steel light also comes with hardware that allows you to attach it to a porch, deck, wall or front door.

The easiest way to keep your flag clearly visible around the clock.
Light has a unique gooseneck design that makes it easy to set up and adjust to keep your flag well lit. Saves energy, too, as solar panels charge three rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, which are included. Light turns on at dusk and off at dawn, and shines for up to 12 hours per charge. Solar panels are recharged by sunlight and on cloudy days. Two bright LEDs are long-lasting.

Celebrate your country at any time of day with a solar-powered flag light. Order yours from Brookstone® now!

        Comments about Solar-Powered Flag Light:

Firstly, I should note that I ordered the product as shown; however, I received a different item from Liberty Light via Brookstone. As it seemed to be of good quality when I received it, I did not return it and opted to keep the one at hand.

With that being said, the light that I received was easy to install and came with simple operating instructions as well as a thorough trouble-shooting guide. The problem that I had with this product is that, after 4 months, the light no longer worked. At first I thought that the batteries had lost their ability to hold a charge, but found that this was not the case. The problem was with the solar collector, which cracked due to customary New England weather conditions.

I attempted to return the product to Brookstone for a new one, but was refused as I no longer had the receipt and it had been more than 2 months since I made the purchase. Fair enough.

As I found the life expectancy of this rather expensive product to be far less than what it was claimed to be, I would not recommend this product to others.

          Comments about Solar-Powered Flag Light:

I always thought that the flag had to be lowered at sunset and raised at dawn. It turns out that the United States Flag Code says otherwise. It says that "when a patriotic effect is desired, the flag may be displayed twenty-four hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness." This solar-powered light does just that. And it needs no wiring. Just attach it to the flagpole and you're all set. It turns on and off automatically to keep your flag lit 24/7.
