This gives a terrific leg, ankle, and foot massage. If you've tried this item in a Brookstone store, you're going to feel a big difference using your new one. It almost feels too intense - but don't get discouraged. A representative explained to me that, because the store model has been used by many, many people, the massage is much milder. My neighbor sent her unit back because she complained of the pain. I took the representative's advice, and even within a few days, I can notice that the little pain has turned into a fantastic leg massage.

The pressure and movements were good, but the grippers were somewhat hard. At some angles, my feet felt painful as a result of the massage movements.
The machine come up to only the mid-calf region. It would be more relaxing if it grips higher up the calf muscles.

OSIM massagers are a big hit in Southeast Asia where I was first introduced to this product. It's a wonderful machine, but to tell the truth, using it the first week was a painful experience. I learned to wear very thick socks or soft booties when using it to lessen the intensity of the squeezing action, which over time becomes less painful . . . or perhaps, I and others who use the OSIM foot/calf massager become used to its healing properties(!?). It is an outstanding product, well-constructed, durable, and worth every dollar, especially if you have foot, ankle and leg issues as I do (cramps, poor circulation). A very great machine, that once you get used to it over time, provides a wonderful foot and calf massage.

I work on my feet all day, so i often come home with my feet swollen. I sit down on my couch, and put my feet in. I find that in the upright position, it hurts a little. The massagers are way powerful; a tad less would still be just as effective. Anyway, when i lay it down towards me, so now the feet wells and control panel are facing me, i find it's the perfect position to do my feet without wincing in pain. so you do need to angle this to how it's best for you. And when my feet are that swollen, it doesn't hurt. just feels good. then when i'm ready for my calves, i sit it back up, lean it a bit towards me, and let it massage. Most times, i fall asleep, it feels SO-O good. for any person who stands/walks all day at their job, i highly recommend this massager.
