When I first realized I actually needed a nose hair trimmer years ago, I bought a cheap one, and it was such a poor product (painful, ineffective), I never used it. I went back to scissors and have used them for the past 5 years or so. However, when I needed to reach a spending limit to receive free shipping, I added this as an afterthought to my purchase. It was a decision I'm glad I made. While it's not overly quiet, this trimmer does an outstanding job and best of all, it's pain free! I highly recommend purchasing this trimmer - it's well-worth the price!

When I first bought this product, I immediately felt that it was inferior to a Panasonic product that I had for years. It missed most hairs, so I returned it. I thought that I just had a defective product. However, the new one given to me is just as bad. I have always thought that Brookstone products were superior, but I really hate this product.

I had an old Brookstone trimmer for about 10 years and it worked great. When it died, I bought the latest model and am very disappointed. It doesn't trim very close and misses many hairs. It never seems to get cleaned no matter how long I place it in water. Even the top is difficult to remove (especially when wet). If I could fix my old one I would, rather than use this model.

My old nose hair trimmer finally quit after many many years of great service. I thought this would be similar in quality. I asked the sales person if it pulls the hair and he stated that it does not, he said he has one. I tried it when I got home and it pulls the hair in my nose! I hate this product and I regret spending the money on it. Also, as I was checking out, I was told the item was non-returnable once it was used since it was a personal item.
I do not recommend this product to anyone unless you like torturing yourself during grooming!!!
