some drawbacks

I've had this mask for about 8 months. I've truly loved it and it solved my problems with the extreme amount of bright light that comes into my bedroom every morning.
However, for me it has worn out pretty quickly - the elastic in the back is almost threadbare after only 8 months.
But, the biggest problem I'm having now is that as it has worn out, it is not fitting as well. I toss and turn a lot at night and now I find the raised part that is supposed to rest below the eyes is ending up putting pressure on my eyes during my sleep and I am waking up with fairly significant eye discomfort every morning that is taking close to an hour to go away.
It is also not washable (other than spot cleaning) and I wonder if the natural buildup of oils etc from your skin is bothering my eyes, which if that is the case, would be another drawback.
I'm going to try another style of nap eye mask that doesn't have the raised areas below the eyes and see if I do better with that one.

have tried several~this one is THE BEST!! blocks out all light. gave it to my daughter as well (works nights)and she thought it was a life saver. only drawback; not washable but even so i would buy again.

This is the best mask! No leaks at the nose. Soft over the face and the velco strap does not bother your sleep on side or back. I have had the best sleep in a very long time since I purchased this. I am purchasing one for my snoring husband to use with his CPAP machine in hopes that we both will we able to count our sheep peacefully! If you have any second thoughts about this - don't. It is a super product.

I have been using this product for years. Moving from place to place, I sometimes wind up sleeping in places that do not have proper window shades, and even the littlest bit of light wakes me up. These completely block it out.
They're comfortable, but they fit snugly to the face to keep light out, even around the nose area, which is where most masks fail. They're also machine-washable (important for someone like me who wears it almost nightly) and last for quite some time. In the last five or so years, I've only replaced my mask once. Definitely a great buy!
