Low-profile custom water trap mat captures water and dirt to keep them off your floors. It has crush-resistant nubs that handle heavy foot traffic and scrape dirt, mud and sand from shoes. Designed to allow almost any door to open over it easily. For this custom-sized mat, measure your space, select the 3-ft. width, then specify a length from 3-ft. to 23-ft. long (in one-foot increments). Anti-static and commercial-grade. Mat has 100% polypropylene fiber base covered with microfiber. Anti-slip rubber backing. Antimicrobial treated and stain and mildew-resistant. Made in U.S.A.

I use the door mat at the back door where my three dogs go in and out. I have noticed a tremendous difference in the amount of dirt/sand I sweep up since purchasing the mat. I am about to purchase a smaller one for the garage entrance to the house! It is pricey, but absolutely worth it. Very durable and easy to clean. It is absolutely obvious on the mat how much dirt it catches at the door. It doesn't have any fibers to hold in excess dirt so when you take it outside to sweep off the dirt you get it all off and it looks new. Spilled something on it and was worried about stains, nope, warm rag with soap got it right out.

I use the mat in my entry way. It fits under the door, which I loved and matches my kitchen. I am disappointed that it is wearing out in spots. Since I use it in my entry way I want it to look nice and after only 6 months it looks worn out. I expected more than 6 months of use considering the price.

Low profile entry carpets are tough to find and the choices are few. I had one by my front door for several years, but was always looking for something better. For my front door to clear the carpet, it needs to be very low profile. I tried one from Hammacher Schlemmer which was pretty nice, but my door could not clear it. So, I sent it back and continued my search. I came across this one and it sure seemed to be what I was looking for, so I ordered the 3x4 brown version. I just got it today and it is perfect. It looks nicer than I ever expected, is softer than I expected, and clears the bottom of the door easily. In a nutshell, it is better than I thought it would be in every way and Brookstone is a great company to deal with. Highly recommended on all accounts.

Our front door has a very tight lower seal, so I have not been able to find anything to fit under it that also allows the door to open properly. We live in a very rainy climate, so need something to protect our hardwood floors. This is perfect. It's a bit plain, but still reasonable to have in an entryway.

5 years ago when our kitchen was done over I quickly realized (and was very disappointed) that there wasn't a rug out there that would not catch under the back door. For a while we used an outdoor rug with a no slip pad, but we had to buy a whole lot of it and cut it to size. It worked for a while, but the corners would role up and it became a tripping hazzard, so back to the drawing board. I "googled" thin mats which lead me to this product. I just put it down today so I can't tell you how it cleans or it's durability, I took a gamble with the other reviews, but what I can tell you it it THE FIRST mat that fits under the door perfectly!! I am so happy! Hopefully it lasts longer than the 6 months another reviewer mentioned or I won't be buying another...too expensive to replace that soon. Just excited to finally have a mat there so I won't be cleaning that area so often with the broom!
