I live abroad throughout the year and sometimes in different regions of the world. Often, I bring multiple adapters with me to handle various products and needs. That was until I found this product! It works so well! Being able to charge two USB items at once (ie tablet and cell phone) and still use a flat iron way exceeded my expectations. The additional plus is to look at the lights on the adapter to identify when the product is fully charged! I love this product so much that when I come to the states and need to quickly charge a couple of items I use this adapter. And, hey, it helps when I'm getting ready to go out for a night on the town too!

Quite a slick little package of a multi-country AC adapter with 2 USB charging ports that light up and change color when in-use. I didn't really expect it to charge my iPad2 but it does! At least on 220V. I have not tested 110v yet.

It is fuse protected so it is also a cheap spike protector.

Really only one quibble. The USB ports are so electrically noisy, that my iPhone 3GS freaked out if I tried to use it while it was being charged. The screen would jump around like it was trying to avoid your finger. You'd have to see it to believe it. I also have a USB chargeable portable speaker (SoundMatters). The adapter is so noisy you can not use to charge the speaker and listen to it at the same time. So charge it with my PC which isolates it from the adapter.

Worth them money, with those caveats, especially if you have an Ipad since you could leave the adapter for it at home or be covered if you lost it.

If you understand this is an adapter and NOT a converter and use it with smaller products that have a charger that works with either 110 or 220 i.e., IPhone, laptop, Kindle, IPod, etc., this is a great product. I've used it from Africa to Eastern Europe and it's very easy to use. I never go abroad without it. Only downside is trying to charge through the USB connection....sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I just do it the old fashioned way...plug the cord from the charger into this adapter and plug the adapter into the wall.

Converts easily to all the various plugs we encountered. The USB ports allowed us to charge phones and ereaders without transformers.

This is a great travel adapter designed for low voltage electronics. The people who bought this thing thinking it could handle curling irons are clueless. Great idea but the circuit board is cheaply constructed. I only had to drop it once to cause one of the relays for the USB to pop off the circuit board. Back to the drawing board.

This product is not for dummies. As far as I understood several commentators tried to plug in a refrigerator or microwave.
If you don't know what for those small fuses are, please don't buy it - better save your money.

In other words you can use it for small electronics... but try to avoid plugging of something that has to be heated (irons), cooled (friges) or simply needs a lot of energy.

Instructions only cover changing the fuse, not how to get 7 different configurations. No matter - could never get the product work unless I jiggled it just right. I reverted back to individual adapters.

People need to understand that this product DOES NOT convert European voltage (typically between 220-240 volts) to the 110-120 volts that many U.S. hair dryers are designed to work at...all this product does is convert the plug so U.S. appliances will be able to plug in (i.e. hence the name "Adapter" in the title of the product).

The key thing to remember is that typically U.S. hair dryers DO NOT have the capability to convert the voltage. However, many other U.S. electronics do have the ability. Most battery chargers, like those for cameras, computers/laptops, etc. have the ability to convert 240 voltage to 120 voltage, they just don't have the right plug for Europe--and that's where this product comes into play...

...just be sure to check all electronic devices you plan to bring with you--they will tell you what voltages can work right on the device--and then plan on getting either an adapter, like this one, or a POWER CONVERTER (which are usually much heavier than adapters, and more expensive).
