I use this rolling suitcase mainly for 3-5 day trips and I like that it comes in the pink color so that it can be easily identified. It holds just enough for an extended weekend trip, and holds more than it at first appears. Plus, it expands a bit. The rolling wheels are very cool and work great on smooth floors....on carpet it kept wanting to stall so I had to pull it behind like any regular rolling suitcase. I wish it had some mesh pockets on the inside for my smaller items.

Stitching was incredibly poor. I don't expect a lot out of my luggage since this is the 4th rollerboard bag I've had to buy in the last 10 years. Normally, when I'm on 100% travel a bag will last me 2-3 years before something breaks. This bag only lasted 6 weeks before the seam stitching busted. Horribly weak seems.

Stitching was incredibly poor. I don't expect a lot out of my luggage since this is the 4th rollerboard bag I've had to buy in the last 10 years. I was a loyal Tumi customer and purchased the Dash on a whim as I was in need of an additional bag. I take more than 75 business trips a year and at least 5 weekend get-aways or vactions annually using the 21in Dash.
I have purchased two Dash's in five years to replace each piece as a result of wear and tear, in all honesty each of them could have had a longer life. The Dash 21in. is the right size and a great value!!

This roller has style and comes in many colors that can be quite flashy. I love that it is a spinner and has elastic straps on the interior to fasten your items. It is split on the inside down the middle lengthwise. The partition has a zippered area for socks or small items. The exterior scratches easily and the interior is beige so be careful to pack shoes in a bag. Good quick trip bag overall.

Fits overhead perfectly on B737, A319, A320, A340, B747.(Avro:overhead "sideways" is good, too)
4 wheel rollers make boarding/disembarking down the isles a dream while "2 wheelers" clunk along.
The expandable extra-zip is good to have for that: "I can't believe I bought that! moment"

I have spent serious money on luggage and none have come close to delivering satisfaction as the moderately-priced Dash. I recommend this suitcase to everyone I know, and they trust me because I travel every other week. I highly recommend a packing system, such as Eagle Creek, to get the biggest benefit out of this shell suitcase. And Brookstone even replaced the first one I bought, not because there was something wrong with it, but because 12 hours after I bought it, I was leaving on a trip and the suitcase rolled ALL the way down a major hill in San Francisco. It never fell down during it's run, it didn't break or fall apart...it just got scuffed up from hitting all the parked cars and bouncing off. Totally not the fault of the suitcase or Brookstone, but they replaced it anyway. This has earned them a loyal customer.

This bag exceeds the dimensions allowed for carry-on luggage with American Airlines. You might be able to get onboard with it, but I would hate to chance it and have to check it.

I bought the 17" bag 2 years ago. The BEST BAG EVER! Bought 2 more for gifts. This year I bought two 21" bags for a 10 day cruise. I work for an airline, and this beats the "CREW" bags hands down. The 17" goes under the seat..great for weekends. Sturdy, light weight, and you can fill it up...and then some...When you keep them closed in the hotel...no other "guests" are coming home with you in the luggage, or attach to the outside. You will not buy another bag after you get these.

Buy one for yourself! This is the best carry on I have ever found. I can pack a whole week's worth of clothes and shoes, and it will still be lightweight, maneuverable, and fit in the airline carry on sizer. When traveling internationally, some airlines are very strict about carry on size requirements-this suitcase fits every time! I love it; enables me to travel comfortably anywhere. Won't leave home without it.
