We had a fire pit before and never covered it up, so it ended up rusting from the rain. Now with this cover, we plan to have our fire pit for many years by keeping it protecting from the elements when we aren't using it. The cover fits very nicely over the fire pit and is easy to slip over it. It tightens on the bottom to keep it snug and protected. This was a very good investment and the price was right.
