First, I was a little daunted by the assembly, but once I started I realized it was quite simple. I put it together pretty easily, and it looks nice (just like the picture). My concern, and my wife's, is that it seems a little flimsy or weak. I weigh 200 and my wife weighs 150, so we're below the 400 pound threshold, and I suppose only time will tell. I trust Brookstone in general, with their one year warranty and store credit if something goes wrong, so for now we're keeping it. It's lightweight and easy to move, so we use it either in our children's play area, or on our deck. I hope it's just the wood breaking in a little that explains the creaking noises!
