This, like some other "made for iPod" docking stations at Brookstone simply would not work with my iPod. I even had a salesperson, who had her own personal iPhone, try to help and we could not get it to recognize my iPod touch, 2nd gen. May work fine for others, but test your iPod first!

I am happy with my iDesign Player so long as I don't want to listen to my favorite FM radio stations. It does not have a robust FM system to pick up most stations. In fact it only picks up just a few, and they have to be the strongest signals. This unit does not provide for a connection to external antennae sources such a coax, rabbit, or any other type of signal booster.

I received this as a gift for my 16th birthday last year. I am a 17 year old girl who enjoys doing what most teenagers like doing, listening to music. I use these speakers almost everyday to listen to my ipod or even CDs. I chose Brookestone's product because it came with a CD loading dock which i find very useful. The sound is great and it has a very stylish and savvy design. It just looks so great and technical! The only issue is no matter what if you want to listen to your ipod it will automatically charge it i would rather have my ipod waste more battery
either way i love this product and make great use out of it

Great system for the home. Good sound. Takes up little space. The speakers crashed and crackled after 9 months of use. Glad I bought the extended warranty. Plan on replacing it with the same unit as soon as the warranty gift card arrives.

Ordered this to play CD's and/or use my IPOD Classic. It's lightweight and portable so I can take it to the pool. my daughter can take it outside or to a friends house to practice her dance routines, etc. Comes with a handy remote so you don't have to get up or you can play, pause, or stop from a distance. It doesn't get as loud as I hoped at it's 'max' but it certainly will suffice for 99% of the time. For other IPOD styles, it comes with custom 'fitter's so yours snaps in snugly, but I just plug mine in without the fitting. It does charge my IPOD, nice feature as well. I would recommend.

This is a good product i set it up in about 10 min... I love how many radio stations you can program (up to 20)....Charges my ipod even in standby mode....and the remote control allows you to navigate through your whole iPod.

Works with our iPod Touch 3G. Nice functionality, but the labels on the buttons on the little remote control are small and lack contrast - impossible to read. It's only been sold for a couple of months - and is already on sale.

I think the sound for this system is great but, it would probably sound even better if the manual or any website explained what kind of subwoofer is compatible with this system. I have looked at iDesign's website and Brookstone's and neither has any information on the ports and the back of the unit. I have tried using a Samsung sub but it did not work. I exchanged unit when Brookstone employee said it could be the unit itself. Did that and it still did not work. Curious if a powered subwoofer is required but, that information is not supplied.

This stereo has great sound. I have an older i pod, which works great in this system. My husband still listens to CD's, so I was very happy to find a system that accommodated both i pods and cds. I also love that is has a radio.
Although the sound is awesome, the CD's we have played all skip. We're returning it, and I'll try another one, and cross my fingers. I would really love it if all of the features on this product would work...If I have a better experience with the next one, I will update this.
