This has been my only hair dryer for both home and travel use for the last 10 years (I have its previous version). I use it daily at home, and usually daily when I travel as well. I've used it in the U.S. (home), India, and Hong Kong, and it's performed beautifully. I really don't see any need for bigger hair dryers - this one is easier to hold and takes up less space at home as well! I've used the dual voltage feature when traveling and it's great. Although the switch may look "low tech", it's foolproof, easy to switch, and will never get turned accidentally. It puts out tons of heat as well, much better than many of the full size dryers. One great thing is that one time I forgot to switch the voltage - I noticed it was louder and started getting very hot. I realized what I had forgotten and turned it off. It wouldn't turn on right away again, but after it cooled down (and I switched to the correct voltage) it started right up again with no problem and continued to work great for many years! It didn't burn out or get damaged like so many devices would have! That's pretty amazing, and very useful since every busy traveler is bound to forget to switch the voltage at least once.
After 10 years of daily use, and many, many rough trips, the wiring seems to be starting to come loose where it connects to the dryer (inside, not where I can see). It will turn off once in a while, but a push starts it going again. I'm going to continue using it at home, although I'm going to buy another one (this new version) now just in case it dies. But after 10 years, that's not a complaint! :)

The dryer (without being extremely hot) dries my fine, thin hair quickly. It stores nicely when folded up. The low-setting blows too gently (even for my fine hair); so, I hardly use this setting. I would have rated the dryer 5-stars, if the low-setting worked better. I've shopped at local stores & wasn't able to find one as compact as this one. I would definitely purchase this dryer again.

I recently reorder this hair dyer as my old one broke after 5 years. The fan blade just broke into pieces. I really like this hair dyer. Compact, sleek, powerful, and travels well. Great product. Have been buy the same hair dryer ever since I discovered it at Brookstone; that is about 12 years ago.
One disappointment, this hair dryer used to come with a travel bag. Now there is not travel bag for the hair dryer. The travel bag is very useful in containing the hair dryer to and from the gym. Luckily I still have my old bag.

easily on a counter, or stores even more compactly. If an
upgrade to either battery/ rechargeable battery operation

I accidently burned up my last one because I forgot to switch the voltage,but the only replacement I could find was hugh. When I got home I ordered another because for travel the small size and dual voltage is necessary. Would also be good for the gym bag.
